Like much of the country, I’ve found a new fashion icon. I thought she might be The One when I saw her in this gorgeous Thakoon. I was surer still when I saw this beautifully tweaked Peter Soronen. But I knew on the day after The Day, when instead of greeting the world with the fashion equivalent of a hangover she came out in this delicately painted 50s style silk Tracy Feith. I want. But since it’s unlikely I’m getting Michelle Obama’s hand-me-downs anytime soon, this cotton garden dress also by the designer may have to suffice. (25 Park; $670)
